Dame Elisabeth Frink (1930 - 1993) was an English Printmaker and Sculptor. She studied at the Guildford School of Art (now University for the Creative Arts) and at the Chelsea School of Art.
The Second World War provided context for many of her earliest works. Frink's subjects often included men, birds, dogs, horses and religious motifs. As a recognition of her contribution to the arts, Frink was selected as one of five 'Women of Achievement' selected to be featured on British stamps issued in 1996.
