Esther Cooper-Gittins

Esther’s work considers liminal spaces: whatever can be found between order and chaos, the microscopic and the infinite, serenity and unease. It is reminiscent of imagery throughout the universe yet never directly illustrative.

The compositions are explorative and are built up intuitively. Paint is applied with fingers, opposing the considered repeated pen marks resulting in pieces rich in texture and depth.

Esther has spent most of her life in Bristol, moving away for a time to complete a degree in Fine Art at Falmouth University.
