Libby loyd was born in Banbury UK in 1971, and studied Fine Art Printmaking at Winchester School of Art graduating in 1994. In 2000 she embarked on a bursary awarded PhD at the University of the West of England. Her PhD research enabled her to understand how for colour could generate varied conditions within architecture.
In 2004 Libby began consulting with the internationally acclaimed architects Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios, directing innovative Colour Design Schemes for new builds and larger environmental colour spaces.
Projects include The Hive Worcester (National RIBA Award 2013), NICU Centre RUH Bath, Pegasus Youth Theatre Oxford and Derby Quad Arts Centre.
Libby is currently a professional Studio member at Spike Print studios in Bristol and is part of the Tutor Group and Print Program at SPS. She has lectured at Bath Spa University and has a substantial exhibition record.
She was one of a select group of British Artists to exhibit at the first Biennale of Book Arts at Galway International Arts Festival in 2016 and awarded the purchase prize - and is now part of the of the National book collection of NUI Galway, Ireland.
